Mathew Brady and Lincoln

Did you guys see this article on Mathew Bradys photo session with Lincoln? I always love reading about the early studio sessions and the earliest retouching. The significance of these photos is incredible. We’re all so used to seeing thousands of pictures of our president, but what if we only saw one or two? It blows my mind how quickly technology changes, and how sometimes it’s not always the best thing (yes, Lincoln is stunning, but who knows how he would’ve held out in HD?) This week has been very black & white.. There will be color next week, promise.
