Spotlight on Markus Klingenhaeger

Spotlight on January 20, 2011 11:45 am

Geman-based photographer Markus Klingenhäger is doing it for me this morning. In particular, his series DarkWhite, which I found the statement for via the Berlin Express: “Photographer Markus Klingenhäger explores the contrast and conflicts between Native American tradition and the white American way of life. His project makes the Native American’s poverty visible. Their fear of loosing their own cultural values is another theme in Klingenhäger’s work. Moreover, the photographer tells the story of their great pride and dignity.”

As for the rest, I need to get my step-ma to translate for me, until then..
