Nadav Kander – ‘The Parade’

I was walking around the old brownstones in Brooklyn Heights last night, peeking into every window with a light on and trying to picture myself living in each house. What would my life have to be like to have a big old brownstone on Joralemon Street? Would I hang a chandelier, too?  Where would I eat my breakfast, with so much space, and would women peering longingly into my windows at night creep me out?

Anyway, the evening reminded me of Nadav Kander’s project ‘The Parade’ and how the experience of seeing people doing regular-people things, as boring as it may be, is comforting in that it means were normal.. or something like that.
